I'm new to blogging so I guess we will see how this works learning a little at a time. I guess I will start off with letting you know a little about me. I am happily married to my wonderful husband and we have two amazing little girls. I met my husband a couple of months after I graduated high school, all thanks to my best friend. We were married about a year and a half later and shortly after that we decided to add to our family. Pumpkin is our oldest and has just recently turned three years old and I can't believe how fast time flies by. Our youngest just turned eight months old last week and she is our little Doodlebug. I am a 23 year old stay at home mom/ student and I love every minute of it and all that God has blessed us with and am very thankful! We are just a small young family of four who is so thankful and trying to make the most of what God has blessed us with. We are not perfect but we try our best.
I am going to school to be an elementary school teacher (my poor kids will never get rid of me). I have always wanted to be a teacher and it makes so much sense to be on the same schedule as my kids and not having to worry about child care cost. My husband is 26 and is an awesome auto painter and does an amazing job providing for our family. He is an amazing man, loving dad and husband, and just all around great guy. He's my best friend and I can't believe I'm blessed enough to have him in my life. My Punkin is 3 years old and I'm home schooling her pre-school this summer so she can test in August of this year to get into the ECE pre-school program when she turns 4. She is also taking gymnastics and is loving it, she gets so excited she just can't even contain her excitement when she's in class and just giggles the whole 40 minutes. Now for our Doodlebug she is our little wiggle worm. She is only 8 months old and is crawling, trying to pull up on furniture, saying da-da, won't sit still and is very much different from Pumpkin. Pumpkin is the independent one who has to do everything herself and Doodlebug is the who has to have all the attention at all times. Needless to say my girls keep me on my toes and I stay busy, but it is all worth it even when I want to pull all my hair out! Now my other three "kids" are our dogs, who just add to the mess I'm always cleaning, we have Bandit our oldest yet smallest rat terrier, Shadow who is our middle in both age and size and he's a mutt, then last but not least our youngest but biggest, Sadie the St. Bernard. All three dogs are inside dogs, are we crazy? probably a little yes but we never have a dull moment!
With this blog I guess I hope to let or show all young moms know you don't have to be superwoman but it is all possible with just a little hard work and making sure you have time to yourself. My oldest is three and I have just gotten to where making sure at least once a week I have "mommy" time in the past like three months and it does make and amazing difference with your patience and with just being less stressed. With this I'm very thankful that my parents take our girls to their house on Wednesdays from 5-8:30 p.m. My husband and I each have our alone time which helps our marriage also. He does his thing and I do mine and we pick up the girls at 8:30 in just enough time for their bedtime routines and bedtime. Trust me I know this is an amazing thing and sometimes rare so yes I/ we take FULL advantage.
If you have any questions or suggestions please feel free to ask or let me know.
